Performance Indicators for Teachers
Although I feel that I am fairly knowledgable with technology, I do see some areas of weaknesses concerning technology in my daily lessons. The following are two indicators that I feel I could use some improvement in and my GAME (Goals, Action, Monitor, Evaluate/Extend)plan on how I plan to improve them.
1: Model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments.
G: We have a story coming up about the Great Barrier Reef and my goal is to take my students on a virtual fieldtrip to Australia to see this.
A: I have found many virtual fieldtrip websites (http://www.atozkidsstuff.com/trip.html, http://campus.fortunecity.com/newton/40/field.html, http://eduscapes.com/tap/topic35.htm ) and become familiar with Skype to allow my students to talk with students in classrooms around the world.
M: Throughout each lesson I can monitor my goal by observation.
E: Reflections after each lesson will help me determine if I have used the technology that I had planned and how effective it was to my lesson. I will ask myself the following questions: Was the goal met? Is there another approach I should take if not?
2: Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital-age media and formats.
G: We have many parents who are unable to attend Special Education meetings so my goal is to hold a video conference.
A: Inform parents of video conferences for their child.
M: Confer with other teachers to see if this type of media is making progress.
E: I can evaluate this by data, checking to see if there is an increase of conferences. I can also survey the parents to see if this is accommodating.

100 Days of Married Life
Well, as of today Mark and I have shared 100 days of wedded bliss. Okay, so maybe they were not all completely blissful but we have definitely grown in our relationship. We have taken these 100 days to learn even more about each other. For instance, I learned that he would rather hang is towel over the shower rod than on the nice little hook that we registered for. Ha Ha! And he would probably say that he has learned that I hit snooze about 10 times before I actually get up. Our first 100 days have also been very eventful. They have been filled with many day trips to Grove City and Pittsburgh, PA; Columbus, OH, and Wheeling, WV, some very special 'first' holidays, a few trips to the hospital, spending plenty of time with our youth group, game nights with both the Wimbish's and the Stare's, and many movie nights where we snuggled up in bed and watched movies all night! I love Mark more today than ever before. As we always say, "I love you more than your more!"

Anyone who says they have only one life to live must not know how to read a book.
Reading has always been a pleasure of mine. I love to curl up with a good book and get lost in the character. The winter months seem to be the best time... a good book, a cozy blanket, my husband's oversized recliner, and a mug of hot cocoa. Then again summer is nice too... a good book, comfy beach towel, oversized sunglasses, and a big glass of iced tea.

Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly
Seneca Lake quickly became my favorite place to be. 
I started going in the second grade as a G.A. (girls in action) and am now in my eighth season of chaperoning youth camp. Anyone who has ever been to Seneca Lake knows that you are offically 'there' when you come down the hill and see the 'Dam Bait Store'. As children, we always thought is was so cool to be able to say that we passed the 'Dam Bait Store' on the way to church camp. Still to this day, we give some hearty honks as we pass the store. Seneca Lake has become a place where you meet new friends, play crazy games, lose a lot of sleep, walk more than you wish (although we have become accustomed to golf cart rides), but more importantly; it is a place where you find God. There is something serene and calming when you sit on top of Vesper's Hill and get to look out and see all that God has made. It is a place where you can reconnect to God and feel His presence in your life. It is a place that lights the fire in your heart to go out and spread His Word. It is my favorite place to be.
